Governor-General visits flood-affected Wee Waa

As part of their visit to flood-affected New South Wales, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce travelled to Wee Waa, where over 2000 residents were stranded by flood waters.

Ms Bryce was welcomed by the town’s residents at Dangar Park before attending a community gathering at Wee Waa Public School. Ms Bryce went on to meet SES personnel and elderly residents and staff at the Weeronga Aged Hostel.
