Gundagai; Murrumbateman, NSW

On Saturday 01 September 2018, at the Gundagai Showgrounds, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove attended the 7th Light Horse Troop Gundagai parade and commemorative service, as guests of Mr Richard Erkelens, Vice-President, Gundagai RSL.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, met with Australian Red Cross staff and volunteers assisting with drought relief efforts.

Later, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, attend a World War One battlefield re-enactment. In the afternoon, at Murrumbateman, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, met with members of the Murrumbateman NSW Rural Fire Service.
