Health Education for Longer Life in Osteoporosis educational seminar; Reception for Breast Cancer Network Australia; Australian School of Performing Arts Concert
On Sunday 27 November 2011, at the Garvan Institute, Darlinghurst, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as guest of the Director of the Bone and Mineral Research Program, Professor John Eisman AO, opened the inaugural Health Education for Longer Life in Osteoporosis educational seminar.
Afterwards, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General, as Patron, hosted a reception to mark the retirement of Ms Lyn Swinburne AM as Chief Executive Officer of Breast Cancer Network Australia.
In the evening, at the Sydney Opera House, the Governor-General, as guest of the Chair of the Australian School of Performing Arts Advisory Board, Mr Nigel Milan AM attended the Australian School of Performing Arts Concert.
Earlier, at Melbourne International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the departure from Australia of the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Denmark, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik, by Colonel Michael Annett CSC ADC, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
Afterwards, at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the departure from Australia of the President of the Republic of Vanuatu, His Excellency Mr Iolu Johnson Abbil, by Colonel Michael Miller RFD ADC, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
