On Friday 29 April 2016, at the World Trade Centre, Helsinki, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), attended a Business Breakfast Meeting hosted by the Finland Australia Business Council, Finland Chamber of Commerce, and Finland International Chamber of Commerce.

Afterwards, at the Government Banquet Hall, the Governor-General met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Finland, Mr Juha Sipila.

Later, at the Sibelius Academy Building, the Governor-General met with the Speaker of the Parliament of Finland, Ms Maria Lohela and representatives of the Finnish parliament.

Then, at Arctia’s Ltd’s ‘Floating Headquarters’, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Tero Vauraste, attended a lunch onboard Arctia’s icebreaker ‘Urho’ and received an operational briefing.
