International Day of People with a Disability; Opening of the Marie Bashir Mosman Sports Centre; Royal Prince Alfred Hospital farewell to the Psychiatry and Neurosurgery Pavilion; Morning tea with members of the Australian community living in Zurich
On Friday 3 December 2010, at Parliament House, Sydney, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, attended a morning tea in recognition of International Day of People with a Disability.
Afterwards, at the Drill Hall Common, Mosman, the Administrator, as guest of Mosman Municipal Council, opened The Marie Bashir Mosman Sports Centre.
In the evening, at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Camperdown, the Administrator as a guest of the Department of Psychiatry, attended the farewell to the Psychiatry and Neurosurgery Pavilion.
Later, at the Zunfthaus zur Meise, Zurich, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended a morning tea with members of the Australian community living in Zurich.
Earlier, at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the departure from Australia of the President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency the Honourable Marcus Stephen MP, by Colonel Stephen Alexander ADC, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
