International Fleet review and launch of ‘Winning at Sea – The Story of Women at Sea in the RAN’; Reception for EMBA students; Reception for the Beacon Foundation
On Friday 4 October 2013, at Bradley’s Head, Sydney, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as Commander-in-Chief, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, reviewed the Royal Australian Navy’s International Fleet entry in recognition of the centenary of the Australian fleet entry into Sydney Harbour, and received a 21 gun salute from HMAS Sydney.
Afterwards, the Governor-General launched the book ‘Winning at Sea – The Story of Women at Sea in the RAN’ and met with women officers and sailors of the Royal Australian Navy.
Later, at Admiralty House, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, hosted a lunch reception for graduates of the University of Sydney’s Executive Master of Business Administration program.
In the evening, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a reception in recognition of the 25th anniversary of the Beacon Foundation.
