Investiture Ceremony for the Force Communications Unit – Cambodia; Murdoch Children’s Research Institute Reception

On Monday 22 September 2014, at Simpson Barracks, Watsonia, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Commander-in-Chief, and Lady Cosgrove, attended an investiture ceremony for the Force Communications Unit - Cambodia, at which the Governor-General presented the Meritorious Unit Citation to the Defence Force School of Signals.

Afterwards, at The Langham, Melbourne, the Governor-General received Long Tan veteran, Mr David Sabben MG.

In the evening, at the Royal Children's Hospital, Parkville, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chairman of the Murdoch Children's Research Institute, Mr Leigh Clifford AO, attended a reception at which the Governor-General officially opened the ‘Mrs Paula Fox and Friends Confocal Microscopy Suite’.
