Investiture Ceremony for Mr Andrew Liveris AO; Opening of new exhibition at the Museum of Australian Democracy; Dinner for the Australian Academy of Science.
On Wednesday 13 August 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, invested Mr Andrew Liveris AO with the insignia of Officer of the Order of Australia.
Afterwards, at the Museum of Australian Democracy, Canberra, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended a reception at which the Governor-General opened the new exhibition ‘Crisis 1914! The Call to Arms’.
Later, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General received the Chief Executive Officer of the Business Council of Australia, Ms Jennifer Westacott, and the Director of Communications, Ms Claire Tedeschi.
In the evening, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a dinner for the Australian Academy of Science.
