Investiture Ceremony; Official Opening of the National Library of Australia's Treasures Gallery

On Thursday 6 October 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended, and the Governor-General, as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, conducted an investiture ceremony.

Later, at the National Library of Australia, Parkes, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of the Chair of the Council of the National Library of Australia, the Honourable Mr James Spigelman AC and the Director-General of the National Library of Australia, Ms Anne-Marie Schwirtlich, attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General officially opened the new permanent exhibition ‘The Treasures Gallery’.
