On Wednesday 15 May 2024, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley met with members of the Defence Alumni Association (IKAHAN) Senior Advisory Group.   

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of His Excellency Dr Kao Kim Hourn CM, Secretary-General of the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN), visited the ASEAN Secretariat Jakarta. 

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr Craig Eldered, Principal, visited the Australian Independent School, Jakarta.   

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Her Excellency Ms Penny Williams PSM, Australian Ambassador to Indonesia, attended an afternoon tea with Australia-Indonesia Muslim Exchange Program (AIMEP) participants.      

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Ms Williams, attended a gala dinner to celebrate the 75^th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Australia and Indonesia.
