On Sunday 12 November 2017, at Kangaroo Island Health Service and Aged Care Facility, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest of the Executive Officer and Director of Nursing, Mr Nigel Jefford, viewed the facilities and met with staff and residents.

Afterwards, at the Kingcote Men’s Shed, the Governor-General, as guest of the Vice Chairman, Mr Graeme Olsen, viewed the facilities and met with members of the shed.

Later, at Island Pure Sheep Dairy, Kangaroo Island, the Governor-General, as guest of the owner, Mr Geoff Rischbieth, received a briefing on operations and met with staff.

In the afternoon, at Payneham Cricket Oval, Adelaide, the Governor General, as guest of the CEO of the Adelaide Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation, Ms Jane Scotcher, attended the Baker-Gordon Charity Shield Twenty20 match.
