On Monday 2 May 2016, at the Bayan Palace, Kuwait City, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received the Chief Executive Officer, Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company, Sheikh Nawaf Saud Al-Sabah.

Afterwards, at the Al-Qurain Martyr Museum the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Director, Mr Ahmad Al-Tattan received a guided tour.

Later, at the Australian College of Kuwait, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr Abdullah Al-Sharhan, met with staff and students and viewed the facilities, including a maritime simulator.

Then, at the Amiri Diwan VIP Terminal, Kuwait International Airport, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Amir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, attended a farewell ceremony.
