Leukaemia Foundation National Research Program Grant Recipients; 10th anniversary of the International Year of the Volunteer
On Monday 14 February 2011, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Australia, the Right Reverend David Jones and Mrs Ruth Jones.
Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Sex Discrimination Commissioner and Commissioner Responsible for Age Discrimination, Ms Elizabeth Broderick.
Later, the Governor-General as Patron of the Leukaemia Foundation, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, hosted an afternoon tea for the announcement of the National Research Program Grant Recipients.
In the evening, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a reception for Volunteering Australia to launch the 10th anniversary of the International Year of the Volunteer.
