Lighthouse Foundation; 2012 General Sir John Monash Scholarships

On Tuesday 14 February 2012, at Albert Park, Melbourne the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the founder of the Lighthouse Foundation, Ms Susan Barton AM, attended the Foundation’s Annual Valentine’s Day Lunch for Women, at which the Governor-General gave an address.

Afterwards, at the Shrine of Remembrance, Melbourne, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of the Chief Executive Officer of the General Sir John Monash Foundation, Dr Peter Binks, attended the presentation of the 2012 General Sir John Monash Scholarships, at which the Governor-General presented the Scholarships.

Earlier, at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the departure from Australia by the Head of State of the Kingdom of Tonga, His Majesty King George Tupou V, by Colonel Michael Miller RFD ADC, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
