On Saturday 10 November 2018, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of His Excellency the Honourable George Brandis QC, High Commissioner to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, attended a wreath laying ceremony, at the Australian War Memorial, Hyde Park, London.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended a lunch, as guests of Mr Dennis Gethin, President, Welsh Rugby Union, at Principality Stadium, Cardiff.

Later, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Lady Cosgrove attended the Rugby Union test match between the Australian Wallabies and Wales, as guests of Mr Dennis Gethin, President, Welsh Rugby Union, at Principality Stadium, Cardiff.
