Lunch with the Governor of Queensland and Mrs de Jersey; 100th anniversary of the Headquarters 1st Division and Deployable Joint Force Headquarters.

On Friday 15 August 2014, at Government House, Queensland, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, attended a lunch with the Governor of Queensland, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey.

Afterwards, in Brisbane, the Governor-General met with the Premier of Queensland, the Honourable Campbell Newman MP.

Later, at Parliament House, Queensland, the Governor-General met with the Speaker of the Queensland Legislative Assembly, the Honourable Fiona Simpson MP.

In the evening, at Gallipoli Barracks, the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, and Lady Cosgrove, attended a ceremony to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Headquarters 1st Division and Deployable Joint Force Headquarters.
