Mandurah, WA

On Saturday 26 August 2017, at the Mandurah Volunteer Marine Rescue Centre, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Vice Commander, Mr John Blay, viewed the facilities, were briefed on operations and met with staff.

In the afternoon, at the Mandurah War Memorial, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Director People and Communities, Ms Lesley Wilkinson, viewed the memorial and laid a wreath.

Afterwards, at the Billy Dower Youth Centre, Mandurah, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Coordinator Youth Development, Ms Tracey Johnson, viewed the facilities and met with staff and course participants.

Later, at the Western Australia Cricket Ground, East Perth, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Cricket Australia, met with the Captain of the Governor-General’s XI cricket team, Ms Nicole Bolton.
