Melbourne visit

On Tuesday 4 March 2014, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as guest of Board Member for UN Women Australia, Ms Elizabeth Shaw, attended an International Women’s Day breakfast.

Afterwards, at Victoria Harbour, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, presented the Unit Citation for Gallantry to HMAS Yarra (II).

Later, at the St Kilda Road Campus of Wesley College, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General officially opened the new Moubray Street Arts and Music Precinct.

In the evening, at Government House, Melbourne, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended a dinner hosted in their honour by the Governor of Victoria, His Excellency the Honourable Alex Chernov AC QC and Mrs Elizabeth Chernov.
