On Friday 29 November 2013, at the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, attended a memorial celebration for the late Mr Frank Jeffrey Smart AO.

Afterwards, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General hosted a lunch in honour of the Chairperson of the National League for Democracy, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi AC MP.
