On Monday 15 March 2010, at Hotel Realm, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC delivered the keynote address at the 2010 AusAID Leadership and Development Conference.

Afterwards, the Governor-General hosted a lunch in honour of Mr Dennis Richardson AO, Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Guests included: Ms Frances Adamson; Professor Ann Capling; Mr David Garner; Professor Geoffrey Garrett AO; Mr Philip Green OAM; Mr Allan Gyngell AO; Mr Peter Hartcher; Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston AC AFC; Mr David Irvine AO; Mr Miles Kupa; Mr Terry Moran AO; Mr Nicholas Warner PSM; Dr Ian Watt AO; Dr Michael Wesley; Professor Hugh White; and Mr Richard Woolcott AC. Later, the Governor-General met with Indonesian Students from the Australia-Indonesia Muslim Exchange Young Leaders Program. Then, the Governor-General received the Minister for Foreign Affairs, the Honourable Stephen Smith MP.
