Morning tea for International Women’s Day; International Women’s Development Agency ‘Half the Sky’ Concert

On Thursday 7 March 2013, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, in recognition of International Women’s Day, attended a morning tea with the Samoan President of the Pan-Pacific and South East Asian Women’s Association, Dr Papalii Viopapa Annandale, the Director of the Vanuatu Women’s Centre, Ms Merilyn Tahi and representatives from AusAID, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and community and trade organisations.

Later, at the Melbourne Recital Centre, Melbourne, the Governor-General, as Patron, and guest of the President of the International Women’s Development Agency, Ms Therese McCarthy, delivered the keynote address at the IWDA International Women’s Day ‘Half the Sky’ Concert.
