New helicopter for the New South Wales Police Aviation Support Branch; Queen's Birthday Lunch with Australia Britain Society; 40th Anniversary Dinner for the First Green Ban; Navantia Dockyards and Landing Helicopter Deck Project; President of Galicia

On Monday 6 June 2011, at Bankstown Airport, Sydney, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO and Sir Nicholas Shehadie AC OBE, as guests of the New South Wales Police Aviation Support Branch, attended the launch of POLAIR 4, at which the Administrator commissioned the new helicopter.

Afterwards, at Cellos Restaurant, Sydney, the Administrator, as Patron of the New South Wales Branch of the Australia Britain Society, and Sir Nicholas attended a lunch to mark the birthday of Her Majesty The Queen, at which the Administrator gave an address.

In the evening, at the Aerial UTS Function Centre, Sydney, the Administrator and Sir Nicholas, as guests of the Wildlife Preservation Society of Australia and the University of Technology Sydney, attended dinner to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first Green Ban, at which the Administrator unveiled a commemorative plaque.

Afterwards, in Ferrol, Spain, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Chief Executive Officer of Navantia, Mr Luis Cacho, visited Navantia dockyards to inspect the Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) project and met with the Australian LHD project teams.

Later, at Santiago de Compostela, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce met with the President of Galicia, Mr Alberto Nunez Feijoo.
