On Wednesday 18 September 2019, Their Excellencies, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Ms Marie Bourgoin, General Manager – Newman Operations, visited the BHP Whaleback Mine in Newman, Western Australia.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley returned to Government House, Canberra.
