Official Visit to Fromelles, France; Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir assumes Administration of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia

On Saturday 17 July 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received the Prime Minister of Australia, the Honourable Julia Gillard MP.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE departed Australia on an Official Visit to Fromelles, France.

Earlier, in Sydney, the Proclamation assuming the Administration of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia was signed by the Governor of New South Wales, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO.
