Official visit to the United Kingdom

On Monday 10 June 2013, at the Australian High Commission, London, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as guest of the High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, His Excellency the Honourable Mike Rann CNZM, and the Non-Executive Director for Women on Boards, the Honourable Ros Kelly AO, attended a discussion on ‘Women in Business: Opportunities and Challenges,’ and later met with Australian business women living in the United Kingdom.

In the afternoon, at the Royal College of Music, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Director, Professor Colin Lawson, attended a reception and met with Australian students, and later viewed a recital by young Australian musicians.

Earlier, at the Royal Victoria Docks, Mr Bryce, as guest of the architect, Mr Peter Lill, visited Siemens Crystal to view an exhibition on urban sustainabiity.
