Opening of Adaminaby Snowy Scheme Museum; Visit to 1st Adaminaby Alpine Air Scouts and Snowy River Aviators; Afternoon tea for International Day of Rural Women; Dinner hosted by Ambassador for Climate Change

On Saturday 15 October 2011, at the Adaminaby Snowy Scheme Museum, New South Wales, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Chair of the Adaminaby Snowy Scheme Collection Committee, Mr Peter Taylor, attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General officially opened the museum.

Later, at Adaminaby Airport, the Governor-General, as Chief Scout of Scouts Australia, and Mr Bryce, met with members of the 1st Adaminaby Alpine Air Scouts and the Snowy River Aviators.

Afterwards, at ‘Hazelwood’, Adaminaby, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of the New South Wales Farmers’ Association, attended an afternoon tea in recognition of International Day of Rural Women.

In the evening, in Canberra, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of the Ambassador for Climate Change, Ms Louise Hand, attended a dinner.
