Opening of the Defence of Darwin Experience; St John Investiture Ceremony; Frontline Australia Ball

On Saturday 18 February 2012, at East Point Reserve, Darwin, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Chief Minister of the Northern Territory, the Honourable Paul Henderson MLA, attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General and Chief Minister officially opened the Defence of Darwin Experience.

Afterwards, at Government House, Darwin, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended an Investiture Ceremony, at which the Governor-General, as Prior of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, invested the Administrator of the Northern Territory, Her Honour the Honourable Ms Sally Thomas AM as a Dame of Grace of the Order, and Mr Duncan McNeill as a Knight of Grace of the Order.

Later, at the Darwin Convention Centre, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of the Chief Minister and the Lord Mayor of Darwin, the Right Worshipful Graeme Sawyer, attended the Frontline Australia Ball.
