Opening of ‘Getting a Life’ Intentional Community

On Monday 20 May 2013, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, received Mrs Rena McCawley, Mrs Mary O'Sullivan, Mrs Lesley Ironside, and Mrs Betty O'Rourke.

Afterwards, in Phillip, the Governor-General, as guest of the Chief Minister, Ms Katy Gallagher MLA, formally opened the ‘Getting a Life’ Intentional Community and met with residents and their families.

Earlier, at Brisbane Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the departure from Australia of the President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency the Honourable Sprent Dabwido MP, by Group Captain Brian Duddington AM, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
