Opening of ‘Glorious Days: Australia 1913’ Exhibition

On Wednesday 6 March 2013, at the National Museum, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as guest of the Director of the National Museum, Mr Andrew Sayers AM, officially opened the ‘Glorious Days: Australia 1913’ exhibition, as part of the Centenary of Canberra celebrations.

Earlier, at Government House, Canberra, Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, received the winner of the 2012 Michael Bryce Design Award, Mr Tim Dyer, and the Assistant Professor from the Faculty of Arts and Design, University of Canberra, Dr Michael Jasper.

Afterwards, at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, Mr Bryce, as guest of the Director of the Australian War Memorial, the Honourable Dr Brendan Nelson, viewed the ‘Lost Diggers of Vignacourt’ exhibition.
