Order of St John Investiture ceremony; Lunch for the Order of St John; Arrival and Departure from Australia of the President of the Marshall Islands
On Wednesday 2 July 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General was invested as a Knight of Justice in the Most Venerable Order of St John.
Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a lunch in honour of the Most Venerable Order of St John. Guests included: Ms Jane Brooks MStJ; Professor Mark Compton AM KStJ and Dr Elizabeth Ellis; Dr Neil Conn AO GCStJ and Mrs Lesley Conn AM DStJ; Ms Sally Hasler CStJ and Mr Andrew Quinlan; Bishop Richard Hurford OAM CStJ and Mrs Christine Hurford; Mr Peter LeCornu OStJ; and Colonel John Quantrill CStJ (Retd) and Mrs Sharyn Quantrill.
Earlier, at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the arrival in Australia of the President of the Marshall Islands, His Excellency Mr Christopher Loeak, By Commander Paul Gall ADC RAN, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
Afterwards, at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the departure from Australia of the President of the Marshall Islands, by Commander Theodore Wynberg ADC RAN, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
