On Monday 12 November 2018, in Paris, France, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of His Excellency Mr Brain Pontifex, Australian Ambassador to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, met with staff at the Australian Embassy.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, and Lady Cosgrove, hosted an Investiture Ceremony and reception for Mr Bernard Bories AM, and Mr Stephane Jacob-Langevin AM, at the Embassy of Australia.

Later, the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, and Lady Cosgrove, attended a Ceremonial burial for Australian World War 1 soldiers, Lance Corporal James Leonard Rolls and Private Hedley Roy MacBeth, at the Queant Road Cemetery, Buissy, France.

Then, the Governor-General, as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, and Lady Cosgrove, hosted an Investiture Ceremony and reception for Mr Yves Tate AM, Mr Yves Potard OAM, and Ms Therese Dheygers OAM, at the Jean and Denise Letaille Museum, Bullecourt.
