On Saturday 14 September 2019, Their Excellencies, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, travelled to Perth, Western Australia.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Dr Rateb Jneid, President, Muslims Australia, at the Western Australian Italian Club, before visiting the Perth Mosque and meeting members of the local Muslim community.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley attended the 2019 Families of the Fallen dinner.
