On Saturday 23 September 2023, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Deputy Commissioner Craig Waters AFSM, Operations Command, visited the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) Headquarters.  

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr John Snowball, President, attended the 2023 Perth Royal Show, where the Governor-General officially opened the Show.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr Snowball, attended the Past Presidents, Honorary Members and 50-Year Members Luncheon.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, met with His Excellency Christopher Dawson AC APM, Governor of Western Australia, at Government House Western Australia.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Perth, Western Australia, to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
