Port Lincoln visit

On Tuesday 3 June 2014, in Port Lincoln, South Australia, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, in recognition of the National Reconciliation Week, attended a morning tea with staff at the Port Lincoln Aboriginal Community Centre and Port Lincoln Aboriginal Health Service.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, accompanied by the Mayor of Port Lincoln City Council, Councillor Bruce Green, visited the marina and fisheries precinct.

Later, at the Nautilus Arts Centre, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Mayor, attended a community reception hosted in their honour.

Then, at Port Lincoln High School, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Principal, Mr Tony Green, met with staff and students at the aquaculture centre and TAFE Chef training kitchen.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, accompanied by the Mayor, visited Brennen Wharf Jetty and Foreshore.
