Proclamation assuming the Administration of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia; Romeo and Juliet performance
On Wednesday 30 May 2012, following the departure of the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO on a State Visit to the Republic of Cyprus and an official visit to the United Kingdom, the Proclamation assuming the Administration of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia was signed by the Governor of South Australia, His Excellency Rear Admiral Kevin Scarce AC CSC RANR.
In the evening, at the Adelaide Festival Centre, the Administrator and Mrs Liz Scarce, as guests of the Executive Director of The Australian Ballet, Ms Valerie Wilder, attended a performance of Romeo and Juliet.
Earlier, the Governor-General was represented at Brisbane International Airport at the departure from Australia of the Governor-General of the Solomon Islands, His Excellency Sir Frank Ofagioro Kabui CSI CMG OBE, by Air Commodore Tim Innes ADC, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
Afterwards, the Governor-General was represented at Sydney International Airport at the departure from Australia of the Governor-General of Papua New Guinea, His Excellency Grand Chief Sir Michael Ogio GCL GCMG, by Colonel Michael Miller RFD ADC, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
Later, the Governor-General was represented at Sydney International Airport at the departure from Australia of the King of the Kingdom of Tonga, His Majesty King George Tupou VI, by Colonel Michael Miller RFD ADC, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
