Proclamation assuming the Administration of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia; State Visit to the People’s Republic of China

On Tuesday 15 October 2013, following the departure of the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO to undertake a State Visit to the People’s Republic of China, the Proclamation assuming the Administration of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia was signed by the Governor of New South Wales, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO.

Afterwards, at Beijing Capital International Airport, China, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended a welcome ceremony to commence their State Visit to the People’s Republic of China.

Later, at the Ambassador’s Residence, Beijing, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce received a briefing by the Australian Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, Her Excellency Ms Frances Adamson.
