Reception for the Australian Defence College; The Australian Ballet's Don Quixote

On Tuesday 16 August 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received the Algerian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office at Geneva, His Excellency Idriss Jazairy.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Chief of the Air Force, Air Marshal Geoff Brown AM.

Later, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted a reception for the overseas course members from the Australian Defence College.

In the evening, at the Canberra Theatre Centre, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of Associate Artistic Director of The Australian Ballet, Mr Danilo Radokevic, attended a performance of ‘Don Quixote’.

Earlier, as Patron, Mr Bryce attended the ACT Cancer Council’s ‘Art in, Butt Out’ awards ceremony.

Earlier, at the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, the Governor-General was represented at the State Memorial Service for the late the Honourable Allan Clyde Holding, by Group Captain Phillip Lavelle ADC, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
