Reception for the Business Council of Australia; Farewell reception for Invictus Games team

On Wednesday 3 September 2014, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) hosted a reception and quarterly meeting for the Business Council of Australia.

Later, at the Hyde Park Inn, Sydney, the Governor-General, as guest of the National President of the Returned and Services League of Australia, Rear Admiral Ken Doolan AO RAN (Retd), attended a farewell reception for Australia’s Invictus Games team.

In the evening, at the Cardiff Returned and Services League Club, Lady Cosgrove, as Patron, attended the Partners of Veterans Association Annual Dinner.

Earlier, the Governor-General was represented at the Sydney International Airport at the arrival in Australia of the President of the Government of New Caledonia, Ms Cynthia Ligeard, by Captain William Martin ADC RAN, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

Afterwards, the Governor-General was represented at the Brisbane International Airport at the transit through Australia of the President of the Republic of the Seychelles, His Excellency Mr James Michel, by Colonel Dennis Scanlan CSM RFD ADC, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
