Reception for China-Australia Leadership Program

On Wednesday 2 November 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO received from the Wangka Maya Pilbara Aboriginal Language Centre, Ms Esther Quintal and Ms Marjorie Kobold.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Patron, received the Managing Director and Founder of the Hear and Say Centre, Dr Dimity Dornan AM.

Later, the Governor-General received the Ambassador of the United States of America, His Excellency Mr Jeffrey Bleich; the Executive Director of President Obama's Council on Women and Girls, the President's Senior Advisor on Gender Issues and the Chief of Staff to Mrs Obama, Ms Tina Tchen; the Ambassador for Global Women's Issues, Ms Anita Botti and the Australian Global Ambassador for Women and Girls, Ms Penny Williams.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted a reception for the China-Australia Leadership Program, at which the Governor-General delivered an address.
