Remembrance Day
On Monday 11 November 2013, at the Australian War Memorial, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Chair of the Council of the Australian War Memorial, Rear Admiral Ken Doolan AO RAN (Ret’d), attended the Remembrance Day Service at which the Governor-General laid a wreath.
Afterwards, at Government House, the Governor-General received a farewell call from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, His Excellency Major General Martyn Dunne (Ret’d).
Later, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce received the President of the French Senate, Mr Jean-Pierre Bel, and the Ambassador of the French Republic, His Excellency Mr Stéphane Romatet.
Then, the Governor-General received the Managing Director of Damarcon, Mr David Conry, and Mr Stephen Conry.
