On Saturday, 14 July 2007, the Administrator, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO was represented at Sydney International Airport at the arrival in Australia of the President of the Republic of Vanuatu, His Excellency Mr Kalkot Mataskelekele, by Captain Michael van Balen RAN, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp; and later, at the departure from Australia of the President, by Commander Ted Wynberg RAN, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
At Antwerp, The Kingdom of Belgium, Their Excellencies the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery, as guests of the Chief Executive Officer, Kreglinger Group, Mr Paul de Moor, visited Kreglinger House, at which the Governor-General unveiled a plaque in honour of fallen Australian employees of Kreglinger during World War One. In the evening, Their Excellencies, as guests of honour, attended a dinner hosted by Mr de Moor. On Sunday, 15 July 2007, at the Concert Hall Sydney Opera House, the Administrator, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO and Sir Nicholas Shehadie AC OBE attended the Australian Youth Orchestra Farewell Concert. At Zonnebeke Chateau, The Kingdom of Belgium, Their Excellencies the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery toured the Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917 as guests of the Curator, Mr Franky Bostyn. Afterwards, at the Visitors' Centre, Tyne Cot Cemetery, Their Excellencies attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General officially launched the Australian Interactive Display: Australians at Passchendaele. In the afternoon, Their Excellencies conducted a tour of the Third Battle of Ypres battlefields.
