On Saturday 26 June 2010, at Jundah, Queensland, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, attended a Civic Reception hosted in their honour by the Mayor of Barcoo Shire Council, Councillor Bruce Scott, and together, officially opened the Barcoo Shire Administration Building.

Later, at Stonehenge, Queensland, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended a Civic Reception hosted in their honour by the Mayor of Barcoo Shire Council, and together, officially opened the Stonehenge Community Centre. Then, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of the Commanding Officer of 1 Reporting and Surveillance Unit, Wing Commander Peter Davies, visited the Jindalee Operational Radar Network. In the evening, at Cooper Cabins Restaurant, Windorah, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a dinner for local community members.
