Sisters of the Good Samaritan Foundation Council; Gallery of Modern Art - ???Surrealism: The Poetry of Dreams'; Official Opening of IMPACT Make Your Mark Training and Administration Complex; Bundaberg Regional Council Civic Reception
On Friday 19 August 2011, at the Emporium Hotel, Brisbane, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC hosted a breakfast for the Sisters of the Good Samaritan Foundation Council.
Afterwards, at the Gallery of Modern Art, the Governor-General, as guest of the Curatorial Manager of International Art and Exhibitions and Research, Ms Miranda Wallace, viewed the exhibition ‘Surrealism: The Poetry of Dreams’.
Later, at the Emporium Hotel, the Governor-General, as Patron, received the Executive Director of the Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses, Ms Sally Goold OAM.
In the afternoon, in Bundaberg, Queensland, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Chief Executive of IMPACT Make Your Mark, Ms Tanya O’Shea, attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General officially opened the new Training and Administration Complex.
In the evening, at Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery, Queensland, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of the Mayor of Bundaberg Regional Council, Councillor Lorraine Pyefinch, attended a civic reception hosted in their honour.
