St Vincent's Private Hospital Young Adults Mental Health Unit Opening; State Funeral of the King of Tonga

On Tuesday 27 March 2012, at Government House, Sydney, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, received the Honorary Consul-General and Trade Commissioner of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Mr Ron Wakil. The Administrator also received Mrs Wakil.

Afterwards, at the Consulate-General of Kingdom of Tonga, North Sydney, the Administrator signed a condolence book for the late King of Tonga, His Majesty King George Tupou V.

Later, at the O’Brien Building, St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Darlinghurst, the Administrator officially opened the St Vincent’s Private Hospital Young Adults Mental Health Unit.

Then, at Government House, Sydney, the Administrator received the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, His Excellency Mr Nasid Ahmad Andisha.

Earlier, at Nuku’Alofa, Tonga, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO attended the State Funeral of the late King of Tonga, His Majesty King George Tupou V.

Afterwards, the Governor-General called on the King of Tonga, His Majesty King Tupou VI, and conveyed her condolences on behalf of the people of Australia.

Earlier, at St Paul's Cathedral, Melbourne, the Governor-General was represented at the State Funeral for the late Mr James Stynes OAM, by Colonel Michael Annett CSC ADC, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
