State Funeral for Mr Lionel Edmund Rose OBE; President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste

On Monday 16 May 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received the Principal of Brisbane Girls’ Grammar School, Dr Amanda Bell.

In the afternoon, at Festival Hall, West Melbourne, the Governor-General was represented at the State Funeral Service for the late Mr Lionel Edmund Rose MBE, by Colonel Michael Annett CSC ADC, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

Afterwards, at Darwin International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the departure from Australia of the President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, His Excellency Dr Jose Ramos-Horta, by Captain Frank Kresse ADC RANR, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
