State Lunch in Honour of the President of the Republic of Lebanon

On Tuesday 17 April 2012, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE received Australian Ambassador to the Republic of Lebanon, Mr Lex Bartlem OAM.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce received the President of the Republic of Lebanon, His Excellency General Michel Sleiman and Her Excellency Mrs Wafaa Sleiman.

Later, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a State Lunch in honour of the President of the Republic of Lebanon. Then, at Defence Establishment Fairbairn, the Governor-General was represented at the departure from Canberra of the President of the Republic of Lebanon by Mr Mark Fraser OAM, the Deputy Official Secretary to the Governor-General.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received the Chief of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Brian Power AO CSC.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Judge from the Queensland Court of Appeal, the Honourable Justice Margaret White.

Earlier, Mr Bryce received National President of the RAAF Association, Air Vice-Marshal Roxley McLennan AO (Ret’d), and Former Deputy Chief of Air Force, Air Vice-Marshal Brent Espeland AM (Ret’d).
