State Visit to China; Reception for the 2015 National Schools Constitutional Convention

On Wednesday 25 March 2015, following the departure from Australia of the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), the Proclamation assuming the Administration of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia was signed by the Governor of Victoria, His Excellency the Honourable Alex Chernov AC QC

Afterwards, at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Guangzhou, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, attended a welcome ceremony to commence their State Visit to the People’s Republic of China.

In the evening, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Guangzhou, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, attended a dinner hosted by the Australian Ambassador to China, Her Excellency Ms Frances Adamson.

Earlier, at Government House, Canberra, the Administrator and Mrs Elizabeth Chernov, hosted a reception for the 2015 National Schools Constitutional Convention.
