State Visit to China, Sanya Program

On Saturday 28 March 2015, at the Bo’ao International Convention Centre, Hainan, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Secretary General, Ambassador Zhou Wenzhong, attended the Bo’ao Forum for Asia at which the Governor-General delivered an address at the opening plenary session.

Afterwards, as guests of the President of People’s Republic of China, President Xi Jinping and Madam Peng Liyuan, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended a lunch in honour of visiting Heads of State and Heads of Government.

Later, the Governor-General met with former Prime Minister and Member of the Bo’ao Council of Advisors, the Honourable Bob Hawke AC.

Then, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended a meeting with members of the Senior Business Leaders’ Forum.

In the evening, at Chongqing Jiang International Airport, Chongqing, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended a welcome ceremony.
