State Visit to the People’s Republic of China
On Wednesday 16 October 2013, at Tianjin Arts Museum, China, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Director of the Tianjin Arts Museum, Mr Chen Zhuo and the Director of the Warburton Arts Project, Mr Gary Proctor, viewed and officially launched the Indigenous exhibition ‘Our Land, Our Body.’
Afterwards, at the Tianjin Municipal Government Guesthouse, Tianjin, the Governor-General met with the Mayor of Tianjin, Mr Huang Xingguo.
Later, at the Ambassador’s Residence, Beijing, the Governor-General, as guest of the Australian Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, Her Excellency Ms Frances Adamson, met with senior representatives of organisations supporting women, children and people with disabilities.
Then, at the National Palace Museum, Forbidden City, Beijing, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce viewed the painting and ceramic gallery in the Hall of Martial Valour.
In the evening, at the Capital M Restaurant, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a reception for Australian and Chinese alumni.
