State Visit to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar

On Monday 4 November 2013, following the departure of the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO to undertake a State Visit to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the Proclamation assuming the Administration of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia was signed by the Governor of South Australia, His Excellency Rear Admiral Kevin Scarce AC CSC RANR.

Afterwards, at Nay Pyi Taw International Airport, Myanmar, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended a welcome ceremony to commence their State Visit to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

Later, at the Thingaha Hotel, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce received a briefing by the Australian Ambassador to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Her Excellency Ms Bronte Moules.
